My brother Paul from Brancon Construction was my contractor for all of my One Room Challenge entries so far. When thinking about which room to do for the 2018 fall challenge I asked Paul and my sister-in-law Kristy if they would be willing to let me experiment in their home and the answer was YES!

It’s One Room Challenge reveal time! In just six weeks with the help of my brother/contractor Paul of Brancon, we took the darkest area in the house with the greatest amount of wasted space and completely transformed it into a light, bright and functional 12 foot library and art gallery! 

Just one more week to go with our Calling it Home and House Beautiful's One Room Challenge and I'm happy to say we are finished! We’ve been busy creating our “Stairway to Heaven” including a 12 foot library wall and art gallery and this week was all about the “pretty” - styling bookshelves with books and a few pieces of pottery, layering in floral arrangements and hanging art.

It's hard to believe but there is only one week left until my photo shoot and only two weeks left of Calling it Home and House Beautiful's One Room Challenge! This was the week where everything came together like a dream: bookshelves were filled, the library ladder, light and hardware were installed and my Kijiji find bench came back from the upholsterer's looking as good as new!
