After renovating our seventies side split over the past 2.5 years, we’ve finished everything inside and out with the exception of one room - our basement bathroom. We knew that the challenge would give us the final push we needed to finish this final space before summer.

It’s already Week 4 of the One Room Challenge and although we lost a week due to family illness we’re making great progress on our basement bath. We have drywall!

It’s Week 2 of the One Room Challenge! Years ago when I was fairly new to the One Room Challenge I saw this beautiful powder room designed by Laura Design Co and knew it would serve as major inspiration for our bathroom.

This marks the 10th anniversary of the One Room Challenge and this is also my 10th time participating as a guest! Over the next 8 weeks we’ll transform the last untouched space in our seventies sidesplit lovingly referred to as “the scary bathroom” in the basement.

It’s mid November here in Canada and while it has been pretty rainy and overcast we had one gorgeous snowy day this week to take a few pictures of our recently finished One Room Challenge side yard! This was the last outdoor space to complete with the installation of an iron fence, chicken coop and run, new perennial gardens and planting more trees and shrubs.
