Fall 2017 One Room Challenge Favourites

Calling it Home's Fall One Room Challenge is now finished and it was one of the best yet! This was my second challenge overall (I completed both this year) both pushed me to take risks in Lily's Room (Spring One Room Challenge) and my own Bedroom/Home Office (Fall One Room Challenge).

Here's a quick look back to my own One Room Challenge reveals for 2017:

There were so many fabulous spaces designed by featured and guest participants this year and now that I have been able to look at all of them I thought I would share my favourites. Many of these spaces included personal touches, DIYs and mixed old and new. While I loved elements of so many of the challenge rooms, I loved every inch of these ones:

1. The Makerista: Parisian Girls Room

There were so many little details and thoughtful touches throughout the room. This is a beautiful gift from Gwen to her daughter.

2. Decor Happy: Multi-Purpose Basement

This was another design with the love between a mother and daughter in full force and included art the Vanessa painted herself and a saying that she wrote for her daughter.

3. Erin Kestenbaum: Guest Bathroom

With vintage touches, a DIY shower curtain and pretty custom details, Erin completely transformed her space and the results are beautiful!

4. Boxwood Avenue: A French Country Inspired Dining Room

Chloe is living the simple country life that I dream about and know that one day my children and I will enjoy. This dining room is both simple and sophisticated with a gorgeous mix of weathered wood, luxurious linens, black iron and a touch of pretty. I absolutely love this room!

5. Little Green Notebook: Gentry Project Master Bedroom

I've read The Little Green Notebook by Jenny Komenda for years and her blog is the reason I started mine. Jenny is known for her ability to mix styles with a range of price points, her DIYs, floral arrangements and keen attention to detail. This master bedroom beautifully showcases all of her talents including her own photography from her print shop and dresser and curtain DIYs.

6. Laura Design Co: Powder Room

Clearly I'm in love with this Schumacher wallpaper but I also loved the way Laura mixed metals and materials from the gold mirror to chrome faucets and sconces to the glass Restoration washstand - the results are spectacular!

7. Sacremento Street: Jackson's Room

I love designing spaces for children and when I saw Caitlin's nursery to big boy room conversion for her own son Jackson, I appreciated it so much. What a clean and cool space!
